Description: The XI. century, the name of the ruler could be read on the obverse of the denarius, and the inscription REGIA CIVITAS on the reverse, referring to the city of the king. Szent István's successor, Péter Orseolo, also minted excellent denarii, albeit with a slightly lower precious metal content. On the back of his denarii, he changed the previous inscription to PANNONIA, he was the first ruler to depict the name of our country on money.
