Description: The XII. century, the weight of Hungarian coins and the fineness of their material continuously decreased. III. In order to reform the coinage, Béla minted larger coins from purer silver than before. During his reign, copper coins minted on the Byzantine pattern appeared, and the double cross depicted in a coat of arms, which is also interesting from a heraldic point of view, appeared for the first time on his money.
