Description: In 1867, the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy was established with the reconciliation of the Austrian Empire and the Kingdom of Hungary. As part of the political and economic agreement, a law was also passed on coinage, according to which Hungarian money is equal to Austrian money. The silver 20 krajcár minted by Ferenc József in Körmöcbány in 1868, the first Hungarian money of the Monarchy, is a real numismatic rarity. (source: Erem Art Institute certificate)
