Description: Unusually, the silver denarius of King Louis the Great shows not the symbol of royal power, but the image of a nutmeg, referring to the name of his chamberlain - Jakab Szerecsen. This motif, taken from the Ispán's family coat of arms, and used first as a mint note and then as an independent medal image, is a "speaking coat of arms", i.e. the main element refers to the owner's name.
