Description: This particularly heavy gold coin advertised the majesty and power of the ruler. In 1713, the emperor issued the Pragmatica Sanction, i.e. the decree that allowed female inheritance. III. Károly had no male offspring, his firstborn child was a girl, Mária Terézia. With this decree, the emperor wanted to secure the throne for his daughter after his death. The extraordinary gold medal is a real rarity, nowadays it can be worth almost HUF 9 million!
