| Obverse: | Az emlékérme előlapján a középkorban a Református Nagytemplom helyén álló Szent András templom – zászlós, bárányos – boltozati zárókövének ábrázolása látható. A zászlóval ábrázolt bárány az emlékhely meghatározó szimbóluma, hiszen a motívum református jelképként a városi címerben is megjelenik. Az előlapon ábrázolt zárókövet a Debreceni Református Kollégium múzeuma őrzi. Alsó félköriratban a Kollégium latin nyelvű jelmondata, az ORANDO ET LABORANDO (Imádkozz és dolgozz!) szerepel, felső félköriratban a MAGYARORSZÁG felirat, a középtengelyen bal oldalon, 2 egymás alatti sorban a 2020 verési évszám és a BP. verdejegy, jobb oldalon, 2 sorba szerkesztve, a 2000 FORINT értékjelzés olvasható. |
| Reverse: | Az emlékérme hátlapja a „Debrecen, Református Nagytemplom és Kollégium” nemzeti emlékhely épületeinek, a Református Nagytemplom tornyának, valamint a háttérben a Debreceni Református Kollégium épületének részletét ábrázolja. A hátoldal szélén az emlékhely megnevezése fut körbe: fent a „REFORMÁTUS NAGYTEMPLOM ÉS KOLLÉGIUM”, lent a „DEBRECEN” felirattal. A két köriratot bal oldalon egy pont, jobb oldalon a tervező mesterjegye választja el egymástól. A nemzeti emlékhelyek emblémája, amely a sorozat részeként kibocsátott érméken mindig megjelenik, valamint a „NEMZETI EMLÉKHELY” felirat a Kollégium épületének ábrázolása felett, három vízszintes sorban szerepel. |

| Description: | The Hungarian National Bank is issuing a 2000 HUF bronze patinated non-ferrous commemorative coin with the title "Debrecen, Reformed Great Temple and Collegium National Memorial". Mohácsi, the Rákoskeresztúr Újköztemető, the Fiumei út cemetery, Esztergom, Várhegy and Víziváros national memorial sites, as well as the Parliament and its surroundings are followed in the queue. The nominal value shown on them serves to preserve the value of these coins as collectors. The College, operating since 1538, is one of the intellectual cradles of Hungarian literary, scientific and political life. The memorial site also represents the heritage of the freedom struggle and the political tradition of independence. During the 1848-1849 revolution and war of independence, on April 14, 1849, the Hungarian Parliament temporarily meeting in Debrecen adopted the Declaration of Independence and announced the dethronement of the House of Habsburg. On December 21, 1944, the Provisional National Assembly began its work here, which aimed to build a new, democratic Hungary after the Second World War. The reason for issuing the commemorative coin is that Zsigmond Móricz's work entitled Légy jó mindhálálig was published exactly 100 years ago, the plot of which is connected to the College.
