Description: | It was published as the fourth member of the Hungarian engineers, inventors series commemorating Puskás Tivadar, the inventor of the telephone newscaster and the telephone switchboard. Like the other members of the series, this one has a rectangular cupronickel. He is one of the best-known Hungarian inventors, whose inventions we can thank for broadcasting and radio. The first broadcast was heard by subscribers in Budapest on February 15, 1893. His invention became an important stage in the creation of mass communication, alongside the written press. The telephone newscaster started broadcasting one month after the inventor's death and continued to operate until 1925, a hundred years. The telephone announcer is the 6th piece of the series. |
