VI. Ferdinand, nicknamed the judicious and the just, was king of Spain from July 9, 1746 to August 10, 1759. He was the third ruler of the House of Bourbon on the Spanish throne and was the youngest son of King Philip V and Queen Marie Louise of Savoy. During his reign, VI. Ferdinand ensured a peaceful period for Spain, avoiding involvement in European conflicts.
