| Obverse: | Középen a Szent István király által – „Lancea Regis” felirattal – veretett dénár hátlapja alapján készült ábrázolás látható, melyet tíz darab keresztmotívum vesz körbe. A templomként értelmezhető éremképi elem utal Szent István államalapító és egyházépítő szerepére, pénzkibocsátói tevékenységére, míg a keresztmotívumok Szent István uralkodásának egyik legjelentősebb eredményét, a tíz egyházmegyéből álló magyar egyházszervezet kiépítését reprezentálják. Az emlékérme felső részén, félköriratban a „MAGYARORSZÁG” felirat látható, az „500 000”, a „15 000”, illetve a „3 000” értékjelzés és a „FORINT” felirat az emlékérme alsó részén helyezkednek el. A bal oldalon a „2021” verési évszám, a jobb oldalon a „BP.” verdejel olvasható. A verdejel különleges biztonsági elemet is tartalmaz, rajta a verdejel adott betűjével megegyező betűket ábrázoló mikroírás került elhelyezésre, mely legalább tízszeres nagyítás esetén látható. |
| Reverse: | Központi motívumként az 1031-ben eredetileg miseruhának készült koronázási palást Szent Istvánt ábrázoló részletének megjelenítése látható. A koronázási paláston látható Szent István egyetlen fennmaradt korabeli ábrázolása, amelyen a koronás király baljában országalmával, jobbjában hatalmi, királyi jelvényével, a lándzsával jelenik meg. Az emlékérme alsó szélén félköriratban a „SZENT ISTVÁN KIRÁLY” felirat olvasható, az ábrázolás mellett, bal oldalon, egymás alatti vízszintes sorokban az „1000” és az „1038” felirat jelennek meg – utalva Szent István uralkodására. Az emlékérme jobb oldalán a tervező Tóth Zoltán ötvösművész mesterjegye látható. |

| Description: | Magyar Nemzeti Bank will issue commemorative coins named King Szent István in honor of our founding monarch on January 11, 2021. Gold versions with a face value of HUF 500,000 are issued in an exceptionally low number of copies, and silver versions with a face value of HUF 15,000 and non-ferrous metal versions with a face value of HUF 3,000 are also published in order to spread awareness. With the issue, the central bank is launching a new series of commemorative coins called "Country-Building Kings from the Árpád Dynasty", the aim of which is to bring the different emphases of history and science and historical public awareness closer together. The graphic designs of the commemorative coins based on period motifs were created by the goldsmith Zoltán Tóth. This year's with its first commemorative coin issue, the most valuable piece of the program will appear. The gold commemorative coin with a particularly high nominal value and its silver and non-ferrous metal versions were made in honor of our state-founding King Szent István, which serve as the first member of a new series of commemorative coins. The "Country-Building Kings from the Árpád Dynasty" series is intended to present the most significant Árpád kings. The series focuses on 10 monarchs without violating historical fidelity, which the central bank plans to expand by one new member every two years. The commemorative coins of King Szent István are considered legal tender in our country, but they do not serve circulation purposes , their primary role is to spread knowledge, their main focus is the most significant results of the reign of our first king.
