| Obverse: | A „Petőfi Sándor és az 1848–49-es forradalom és szabadságharc” emlékérmék Petőfi irodalmi és forradalmi tevékenységének összefonódását érzékeltetik. Az előlapon központi motívumként a Landerer és Heckenast nyomdájának nyomdagépe látható, amelyen a 12 pont mellett Petőfi egyik legismertebb művét, a Nemzeti dalt, a XIX. századi magyar költészet kiemelkedő alkotását is sokszorosították. Az éremképből a peremet megszakítva fut ki a nyomdagép lapja, amelyen a szabad sajtó egyik első terméke, a Nemzeti dal első két versszaka olvasható. A peremre kifutó ábrázolás amellett, hogy igazi különlegesség, szemléletesen érzékelteti a költemény máig ható függetlenségi eszményét. A nyomdagép ábrázolásába rejtve jelenik meg a forradalom kitörésének évére utaló 1848-as évszám. Az előoldalon találhatóak továbbá az emlékérmék kötelező elemei: a „MAGYARORSZÁG” felirat, a 30.000, illetve 7.500 FORINT értékjelzés, a „BP.” verdejel és a „2023” verési évszám, valamint az előoldalt tervező Kovács Zoltán szobrászművész mesterjegye. |
| Reverse: | A „Petőfi Sándor és az 1848–49-es forradalom és szabadságharc” emlékérme hátlapján Petőfi kultikus irodalmi alakja kap főszerepet, a költő hitvallásaként is értelmezhető idézettel és az azt megerősítő motívumvilággal. A hátlapon a „lánglelkű költő” portréjának Barabás Miklós 1846-os tusrajza alapján készült ábrázolása látható. A portrétól jobbra, két-két sorba tördelve a „PETŐFI SÁNDOR” felirat, valamint „A természet vadvirága” című költeményéből vett, kézírásos idézet – „A korláttalan természet Vadvirága vagyok én” – olvasható, melyet stílszerűen illusztrálnak a jobb szélt övező vadvirág-ábrázolások. A hátlap bal szélén, köriratban Petőfi Sándor születésének és halálának évét jelölő 1823–1849 évszámok olvashatóak, a költő ruházatába rejtve pedig a hátlapot tervező Horváth Andrea iparművész mesterjegye látható. |

| Description: | On Poetry Day, on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Sándor Petőfi, the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (hereinafter: MNB) issued a commemorative version of the HUF 200 circulation coin. At the ceremony held at the Petőfi Literary Museum, he also released an exceptionally large silver commemorative coin with a denomination of HUF 30,000 and its non-ferrous metal version with a denomination of HUF 7,500, as a tribute to Petőfi's work. The commemorative coins also refer to the 175th anniversary of the revolution and freedom struggle of 1848-49. The commemorative version of the HUF 200 circulation coin was issued for the first time. The special coin will be minted in 1 million copies, while the silver commemorative coins will be minted in 6,000 and the non-ferrous versions in 8,000 copies. The renewed thematic side of the HUF 200 coin was designed by the industrial artist András Szilos, the obverse side of the commemorative coins was designed by the sculptor Zoltán Kovács, and the reverse side was designed by the industrial artist Andrea Horváth. Sándor Petőfi (1823-1849) is a Hungarian poet, revolutionary, national hero, one of the most iconic figures of Hungarian literature and culture, the Hungarian author with the most translations into foreign languages. The internationally recognized poet wrote nearly a thousand poems in his short life and was one of the first to earn a living from his writings. The concept of literary cult started with him. As a completer of Hungarian romanticism , he introduced new themes in Hungarian poetry, such as the family lyric or the depiction of the wilderness, as well as the idea of world freedom. His outstanding popularity also stemmed from the fact that he expressed his works in a comprehensible manner and included the language of the people in literature. One of the leaders of the "Youth of March", a participant and defining figure of the 1848-49 revolution and freedom struggle. On the occasion of the bicentenary of the birth of Sándor Petőfi, the MNB is issuing a commemorative version of the HUF 200 circulation coin, as well as a particularly large HUF 30,000 silver commemorative coin and its non-ferrous version with a HUF 7,500 denomination.
