Description: | The "Akasztófás 20 filér" - A Rare and Unique Hungarian Coin. The digits on the original "Akasztófás" coins were not sufficiently clear and recognizable at the beginning, so when the next coins were made, the year was changed to make the year of production clear. The "Akasztófás" " expression was inspired by the first digit of the coin itself, 1. However, it is important to note that this distinction can cause some confusion. Many believe that the coins minted in 1967, 1968, 1969 and 1970 are also rare "gallows". In fact, these coins have the same appearance as the "gallows" version, as all coins in those years received this design. However, the 1971 "gallows" coin stands out. The numbers 1 and 7 on the back are particularly large and interesting. The digits of the later normal coins became smaller and prettier, which made the "gallows" version special. |
